Director Avinash Das’ INN GALIYON MEIN is about communal divide. The film tells the story of Mirza (Jaaved Jaaferi) who stays in Lucknow in between two lanes – Hanuman Gali and Rehman Gali. The former is home to a lot of Hindus and the latter to Muslims. Mirza is a… kind-hearted and secular human being who believes in maintaining peace between both the communities. Largely though, people from both the religions have stayed in harmony and peace. However, the recent political atmosphere and the toxic social media culture are threatening the peace between both the communities. Amidst this, Hariya (Vivaan Shah) of Hanuman Gali and Shabbo (Avantika Dasani) of Rehman Gali fall in love and wish to get married. Communal politician Ajay Tiwari (Sushant Singh) takes advantage of the situation to create a rift between the two communities. Whether Hariya and Shabbo will succeed in getting married and whether Mirza will be able to stop the communal divide forms the rest of the story.
