As Buddy tries to inject all the Christmas spirit he can into everybody’s lives, he also learns how to live in the real world.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964)

Everybody’s favorite reindeer is the much-needed TV program every year. The original NBC animation follows Rudolph, who is an automatic outcast because of his glowing red nose. After growing up, Santa Claus asks the grown-up Rudolph to lead his sleigh on Christmas Eve.

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)

The 1946 romance is one of the earliest holiday hits in cinematic history. Although it was initially unsuccessful at the box office, It’s a Wonderful Life has become one of the most lovable classics of all time. The film follows George Bailey. After falling in love with his wife, Mary, and raising their children, George eventually becomes disgruntled with his job as he’s chased down by a bank examiner. Since his business lost $8,000, George wonders what it would be like if he never existed, which is when Clarence the angel comes in to show him what happens in an alternate reality.

National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989)

Another Christmas classic, the film’s official synopsis reads, “As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen, and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. His hick cousin, Eddie (Randy Quaid), and his family show up unplanned and start living in their camper on the Griswold property. Even worse, Clark’s employers renege on the holiday bonus he needs.”

Miracle on 34th Street (1947)

Per its official synopsis, this classic holiday hit follows “an old man going by the name of Kris Kringle fills in for an intoxicated Santa in Macy’s annual Thanksgiving Day parade. Kringle proves to be such a hit that he is soon appearing regularly at the chain’s main store in midtown Manhattan. When Kringle surprises customers and employees alike by claiming that he really is Santa Claus, it leads to a court case to determine his mental health and, more importantly, his authenticity.”

A Christmas Carol (1984)

The 1984 rendition of charles dickens‘ original story follows George C. Scott’s Ebenezer Scrooge, whose stinginess has isolated him from the rest of the town. However, before Christmas Day, he is visited by three ghosts of the past, the present and the future. As he travels through time with each spirit, Ebenezer learns the consequences he’ll face if he doesn’t change his ways.

The music launch of Dhurandhar was held in Mumbai and was a rocking affair. Fans were invited to be a part of the experience and it led to a lot of energy and craze. All the songs of the film were performed one by one. The attendees got a surprise when the song ‘Shararat’ was unveiled.

The performance was quite entertaining. Lead actor Ranveer Singh was also present at the event. He was so mesmerized with the performance and in his trademark style, he came on stage. He requested Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas to perform on ‘Shararat’ again, this time with him and Krystle D’Souza. This also gave a confirmation that Krystle is a part of the dance number in the film.

Krystle D’Souza and Ranveer Singh then came on stage and they danced energetically, which gave the fans more than what they had expected for.

Also present at the music launch was actress Sara Arjun and singer Shahzad Ali. The latter sang on the song’Ishq Jalakar (Karvaan)’.

The music launch of Dhurandhar was held by Amazon Music in association with Saregama. Besides Ranveer Singh and Sara Arjun, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal. Backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, Dhurandhar is directed by Aditya Dhar. It releases in cinemas on December 5.

Last week, Bollywood Hungama reported that after Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri and NaagzillaKartik Aaryan has been signed by Karan Johar for the third time. The makers have kept the details of this project under wraps, but we have been able to find information about this upcoming venture.

A source told Bollywood Hungama“The film in question will be directed by Sandeep Modi, who has made a mark with acclaimed shows like Aarya and The Night Manager. He, Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar were all set to make a war film. However, that movie didn’t materialize for various reasons. Kartik and Sandeep had formed a bond and promised to work together in the future when the right script comes along.”

This war drama was announced on Kartik Aaryan’s birthday in November 2023. It was scheduled to go on floors in 2024 and release on August 15, 2025.

The source continued, “Finally, earlier this year, Sandeep Modi pitched an idea of ​​an entertaining film to Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar. Both were quite impressed by the subject and decided to come on board as actor and producer, respectively.”

Though not much is known about this film, the source said that it’s not a battle saga that Sandeep was earlier supposed to make or even a reimagined version of it. The source said, “It’s a new script and has a lot of action. It promises to present Kartik Aaryan in a new avatar. Also, it would be different from the rest of the other two films that he’s doing with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.”

Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Merico-starring Ananya Panday, is a romcom, which is all set to release on December 25. It is directed by Sameer Vidwans of Satyaprem’s story (2023) fame. As for Naagzillait is a fantasy comedy which features Kartik as a shape-shifting serpent. Directed by Fukrey director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, the film releases in cinemas on Independence Day 2026. Kartik would have one more release in 2026 – an untitled musical love saga – co-starring Sreeleela and directed by Anurag Basu.

Reliable trade sources have confirmed that Disney has inked a 2-week deal with premium multiplexes for the film’s showcasing through the Christmas and New Year Period. A source told Bollywood Hungama,Avatar: Fire And Ash will be screening all across the premium multiplexes in 3D format through the festive period, and the distributors in India have inked an exclusive 2-week deal for 3D, IMAX 3D, ScreenX and 4DX format. Given the unheard demand in audiences, the cinemas too have agreed on the same.”

The film arrives on December 19, and Disney plans to open the bookings well in advance. “The pre-sales for Avatar: Fire and Ash open on December 5, 2025. All the contracts are locked, and the makers are confident to score record results in the advance bookings for the year in India.”

For those unaware, Avatar: Way of Water had opened to Rs. 40 crores in India back in 2022, and it would be interesting to see if Avatar: Fire and Ash can recreate the same magic.

In November 2025, Bollywood Hungama broke the news that Akshay Kumar would reunite with Anees Bazmee for the remake of Sankranthik Vasthunam (2025), starring Venkatesh, Aishwarya Rajesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary. At the recently concluded 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa, Sirish, of Sri Venkateswara Creations, confirmed that this film is indeed being made.

During an interaction with Gulte at IFFI, Sirish revealed that the Sankranthik Vasthunam The remake is being made and that it would star Akshay Kumar. The original version was directed by Anil Ravipudi and produced by Dil Raju and Sirish. He also informed that there will be a minimum of six releases from Sri Venkateswara Creations in 2026.

And that’s not all. Sirish also revealed that they plan to make a film with superstar Salman Khan and that it would be directed by Vamshi Paidipally, known for directing popular films such as Munna (2007), Brindavanam (2010), Yevadu (2014), Oopiri (2016), Maharishi (2019) and heir (2023).

Lastly, Sirish also confirmed that their esteemed production house will produce a film starring superstar Pawan Kalyan.

Last month, Bollywood Hungama carried an article which said, “Anees and Akshay loved the plot of the lead character stuck between his wife and ex-girlfriend that Sankranthik Vasthunam rides on. However, the original had a lot of Telugu flavour. To make the film palatable for the Hindi audience, Anees Bazmee is reimagining the film, keeping the core plot intact.”

The article also claimed that the writing work is going on in full swing, and the makers are aiming to take the untitled film on floors in February 2026. The film is not a remake, but a reimagined take on the original film, as the screenplay will be packaged with new scenes. “It’s 60 per cent of fresh sequences, and just 40 per cent original to keep the essence of the plot intact.”

However, not much is known about Shabana Azmi’s character at this point. The source said, “All the details remain tightly under wraps. The makers are expected to officially reveal it in a few weeks. Nevertheless, with Shabana ji’s entry, Awarapan 2 now boasts of a unique star combination — Emraan Hashmi, Shabana Azmi and Disha Patani — with more cast additions also expected to surprise audiences.”

Awarapan 2 is directed by Nitin Kakkar of Filmistaan (2014) fame. The film had a long schedule in Bangkok, Thailand and as per reports, the makers plan to wrap up the shoot by January 2026. The film is on track for its release on April 3, 2026.

With Shabana Azmi coming on board, Awarapan 2 is no longer just a much-awaited sequel; it is now positioned as a prestige thriller that blends scale with soul and solid performances.

The film is the second most expensive rom-com of the modern era after the Ranbir Kapoor led Tu Jhoothi ​​Main Makkar.”

The source also tells us that out of the Rs. 170 crore investment, Karan Johar has already recovered Rs. 90 crores from the sale of satellite, digital and music rights, leaving Rs. 80 crores to be recovered from theatrical. “He is placing big bets on the theatrical business.
