Gov. Josh Stein visits Wilmington to talk about strengthening the state’s workforce

Wilmington, NC (Wect) – Governor Josh Stein Made An APEARANCE at the AFL -CIO Convention at Hotel Ballast on Wednsday afternoon.
The Event, Organized by the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations, Protes Labor Rights.
Governor Stein Aims to Boost the State’s Economy, and that means focusing on works. The state has consistently ranked number one for business in recent years.
Stein says his administration is focused on attracing more quality investments and creating jobs that pay well.
DURING The Event, Stein Announced that over 26,000 jobs have been created since the start of the year, and the state has investment more in specialized worker training and trade jobs.
Governor Stein Says North Carolinians Shouldn Bollywood to Attend a Four-Year College to have a good life.
“I’mm Championing Apprentices and Workforce Development and Career Technical Education SO We Can Create More Opportunities for more people,” said stein.
He hopes to also increase the salary of some professions, like law enforcement and Teaching.
The governor criticized the massive cuts of federal jobs, but he hopes our state can be an option for many many of the displaced workers looking for a job.
“In My Response, Our State Office of Human Resources Started A Program Called Joinnc to Connect Displaced Federal Workers With Awailable State Jobs,” said stein. “We want to give them an opportunity to successed here in north carolina. It’s about doing it differently, raather than turning our back on works, we celebrate them and can be them and can be.”
Joinnc Has Several tools to Help Displaced Workers. On the website, you’ll find resources for veterans, state options, and events for job seekers.
Governor Stein also aims to support familyies struggling with Increasing Everyday Expenses.
