Completed Last Year, Magnetosphere is rose’s second feature film as a director-writer. A graduate of Columbia University and Université sorbonne-nouvelle In Paris, Rose Comes with Both Education and Experience. She Wrote and Directed Her First Feature Film, Goodbye, PetrushkaAnother Coming-of-Sen Comedy, In 2021. Prior to that, She Honed Her Craft and Gained Experience Writing and Directing a Number of Short Films. All of Her Shorts Well-Receved and Won Awards with the independent film festival circuit.
Rose joins us today for a Screen Scene Interview to Discuss the Film Industry, Crowdfunding, and Writing a Good screenplay.

How do you feel about the current landscape of independent filmmaking?
Nicola rose: “Well, it’s interesting. On the one hand, you have an ecosystem where truly independent (longer-form) Films can be made at all. On the other hand, modern events, phonology, phonology and Accompanying gear, has allowed people to create their own (short-form) content on platforms like YouTube and TiktokIn turn, that content has made stars out of ‘Ordinary’ People who turns out to be really first-rate creators. What’s the biggest challenge for filmmakers in today’s saturated film market when it comes to getting noticed and standing out?
“Lack of Funding. Assuming you’re self-funding, you need to figure out ahead of how much to raise specifically for marketing. And even then, it’s never enough.”
How do you feel about crowdfunding as a tool for finance film projects from a filmmaker’s percetic?
“I live and work in the united states, where (unless you are fortunate to have excess funds to begin with Peeple for Private Investment Eather. And I don’t like Hitting Individuals Up for Money, Period. Truly indee films.
“But really, having to crowdfund so you can continue to work (Hugly problemtic thought that is!) Isn’t the real ise Life-Saving Medical Treatment. Gofundme So their 5-yar-old can get a bone marrow transplant or somenting, you think, ‘Yeah, maybe I’ll stop grumbling that I had to use this to fund my film.’

What’s the biggest mistake filmmakers make you start collaborating with producers?
“This applies to all collaborators. Vet your team members extramely carefully and at great length before hiring them. Verify that their past work is indeed their own. Fifth-party, and 27th-party references.
What do you think is the most common misconception about being an actor?
“I’m not an actor, but I direct them. People always assume, when you have worked with talented, well-known actors, that they must have massive egos. The film industry is known for its intenses. How do you personally deal with burnout, and what advice would you give to emerging filmmakers or actors who may be struggling with it?
“Find a good therapist. This is easy than done. Can Turn Away From The Film Industry and to these other things when needed.
